The new Lisbon strategy aims to encourage a clear, stable and competitive environment for electronic communications and digital services. Towards this aim the technological and scientific infrastructure has been established and a number of e-government applications have been deployed.
Specifically Health services are particularly vulnerable to fraud and abuse. Social security providers and private insurance companies that exchange money with customers, service providers or vendors risk exposure to fraud and abuse. These public and private organizations around the world lose more and more money through fraudulent claims each year and need to accurately determine which claims are fraudulently filed so they can concentrate on preventing revenue loss. They need to recoup this lost money so they can continue providing superior services for their customers. In order to attain the above stated aim the following tangible and quantifiable objectives have been set.
Overall ObjectiveOverall Objective is to provide a generic solution to the fraud occurring in eGovernment services. We focus on parts or whole eGov services where submitted data is processed by the service, i.e., C2G, B2G and G2G. For this, the following sub-objectives will be set:
The consortium will market the platform’s services to various business domains that include fraudulent processes (e.g insurance).
